Class 300 Rotary Feeder Valve Application Information
The Class 300 and Class 150 drop-thru rotary valves are for either high temperature or high pressure applications.
The Young Industries "Class 300 and Class 150 Drop-Thru Rotary Valves" are for high temperature ranging from 650°F to 1500°F in combination with internal pressures up to 15 PSIG. These rotary valves can also be designed for applications where high internal pressure exist up to 350 PSIG, in combination with ambient temperatures.
Class 300 and Class 150 Rotary Valves are available in two different models, HC and LH. Both models range is sizes form 4" to 24" with other sizes available upon request to meet your specific needs.
The housing and end plates are cast of steel or stainless steel depending upon your requirements. Round inlet and outlet 150 or 300 lb. raised face flanges are a standard design for high temptress and high pressure rotary valves, resulting in added structural strength.
End plates use up to 6 rings of packing to seal the rotor shaft. Ball bearings are located outboard, protecting them from product and temperature exposure.
Each Class 300 and Class 150 Rotary Valve is furnished with an eight vane shrouded rotor. Larger rotary valves use a twelve vane shrouded rotor. This provide the minimum two (2) blade seal for each side of the valve to lowest gas or air leakage.
shrouded rotors are always recommended for high temperature rotary valves, but open end rotors can be used in high pressure applications.
There are four basic types of rotors, Type "A" - fully open rotor pockets; Type "B-C" - partially filled rotor pockets for application requiring less throughput; Type "D" - rigid adjustable and replaceable tips
The Class 300 and Class 150 Rotary Valves are available with a variety of features to handle a wide range of process requirements.
