The Model "CA" Cantilevered rotary valves are engineered to minimize downtime in process applications requiring absolute cleanup between product campaigns.
The Young Industries, Inc. Model "CA" (Cantilevered) Rotary Valve is used to reduce downtime for valve clean up.Tthe valve allows complete removal of the rotor along with the seal rings. No tools are required for disassembly or assembly.
The cantilever design modifications are available as a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve with a "HC" (High Capacity) model or as Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve with a "LH" (Low Headroom) model or as a "SE" (Side Entry) Model. The " CA" models "HC-CA" and "LH-CA" have received 3A Dairy Approval as a clean in-place valve. In addition,
All "CA" Cantilevered valves use shrouded rotor designs. The "CA" valve can be furnished in the end seal design for those applications requiring reduced air or gas leakage across the valve.
The "CA" rotary valve has two(2) outboard tapered roller bearings on one side of the rotor with a hinged bolt-in-place assess door on the other side. The rotor shaft is sealed by four (4) Teflon chevron seal rings located of the drive hub that can be adjusted using the packing follower nut and drive pin.
