Model "NJ" (Non-Jamming) Rotary Feeder Valve Application Information
The Model "NJ" valve is used to for metering pellets by varying the speed by use of an inverter which will give you a linear increase or decrease in throughput capacity.
The Young Industries, Inc. Model "NJ" is a special version of the "HC" Rotary Valve This valve is a High Capacity Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Rotary Valve with a non-jamming inlet design to allow the metering pellets and other granular's. The advantage of the Model "NJ" Rotary Valve is that the speed can be varied without the valve jamming. The speed can be varied by an inverter over a wide range of throughput capacities. Unlike the Model "SE" side entry rotary valves, the feeding capacity increases in direct proportion to the speed and feeding efficiency is not reduced through the valve's recommended speed range.
The Model "NJ" Rotary Valve is furnished with a special shrouded rotor and inlet baffle.
