Are you looking to lower your rotary valve costs and improve your bulk materials handling reliability?
You have found the answer.
We invite you to learn about Young Industries’ Rugged and Reliable Rotary Valves. Since 1947, Young Industries products are known for their long history of innovation and proven reliability. Young has been providing equipment with the lowest overall cost of ownership as compared with equipment having low initial cost
Starting with the standard features and follow by the application proven designs and models, Young Industries, Inc. provides the best value in Rotary Valves.
Young Industries’ rotary valves have five major performance features
- Over 55 years of experience in applying rotary valve to bulk materials handling problems
- Design engineering expertise to reduce your total cost of ownership
- Longer service life by using high quality raw materials
- Built using the most modern manufacturing processes
- Industries lowest air or gas leakage through the valve
The Model “HC” High Capacity Rotary Valve is a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve with a large throughput capacity as compared to other Rotary Valves.
This Model “HC” Rotary Valve design uses a larger diameter rotor and unrestricted inlet and outlet. This full size opening design results in “straight though” high efficency rotor pocket filling and discharging. With this design, you will get a more reliable feeding of product especially when handling products with poor flow characteristics.
The Model “LH” Low Headroom Rotary Valve is a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve with a lower profile used for applications requiring less headroom. The Model “LH” valve is also commanded when the valve is sized based matching a flange size and throughput capacity is not a concern. In addition to the low profile, the Model “LH” Rotary Valve low air or gas leakage.
The Model “SE” (side entry) Rotary Valve is an Airlock Feeder Valve with an offset inlet. With this arrangement, the rotor pockets fill approximately 40% which prevents the pellets or chips from clipping or jamming the valve. The Model “SE” valve is recommended when material needs to be metered from a silo or hopper having a head of material above the outlet. The Model “SE” Rotary Valve air or gas leakage is the lowest in the industry.
The Model “BT” Blo-Thru Rotary Valve, is a drop-thru valve with a conveyline built into the bottom of the end plates. This Rotary Valve is used to meter sticky or cohesive powder bulk materials in pneumatic conveyor. The conveying air blow through the valve’s rotor pockets to assist the material’s discharge.
The Model “CA” Cantilevered Rotary Valve is a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve, either a “HC” High Capacity or “LH” Low Headroom or “SE” Side Entry model is used to reduce downtime for valve clean up and as a lower profile. The valve allows complete removal of the rotor along with the seal rings. No tools are required for disassembly or assembly.
The Model “ES” End Seal Rotary Valve is a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve, either a “HC” High Capacity or “LH” Low Headroom or “SE” Side Entry model with peripheral sealing rings that press against the rotor shroud to reduce leakage through the valve. The Leakage is reduced approximately 50%. The peripheral rings are continuously adjusted by using compressed are continuously operated cylinders to provide the proper force.
The Model “QC” End Seal Rotary Valve is a Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Valve, either a “HC” High Capacity or “LH” Low Headroom or “SE” Side Entry model is used to reduce downtime for valve clean up. The valve allows removal of the rotor without removing the packing gland. No tools are required for disassembly or assembly. This valve is typically used where access to the valve’s interior is required, but total clean up of all components is not a factor.
The Model “NJ” is a special version of the “HC” Rotary Valve This valve is a High Capacity Drop-Thru-Airlock Feeder Rotary Valve with a non-jamming inlet design to allow the metering pellets and other granules. The advantage of the Model “NJ” Rotary Valve is that the speed can be varied without the valve jamming. The speed can be varied by an inverter over a wide range of throughput capacities.
The Model “DP” Rotary Valve is used to airlock and metering of bulk materials both powder and pellets into the low velocity or dense phase high pressure conveyline.
The Mode “DP” (Dense Phase) rotary valve controls the high pressure air or gas loss between two different pressure zones in a dense phase conveyor while allowing dry solids material to pass from one pressure zone to the other. The Model “DP” rotary valve is designed as an airlock feeder for handling 60 PSIG housing and differential pressure or vacuum.
The Young Industries “Class 300” and “Class 150” Drop-Thru Rotary Valves are for high temperatures ranging from 650°F to 1500° F in combination with internal pressures up to 15 PSIG. These rotary valves can also be designed for applications where high internal pressure exist up to 350 PSIG, in combination with ambient temperatures.
