Young Industries recently manufactured a custom Y-Branch Downspout lined in TransFlow® Fluidization Media for a chemical manufacturing company. This 4 Inch Diameter TransFlow® Downspout is part of a process that uses Young Industries Stinger® Technology to convey fine cohesive Lanthanum Oxide.
Young Industries TransFlow® Pads have been used in many applications, in various sizes and shapes, for all types of hoppers and bins. We recently had a customer that uses our standard pads, make an unusual request.
Young Industries is an ASME code certified shop. We designed and fabricated this simple down-spout to meet ASME Code Section 8, Division 1, with UM stamp. This Downspout meets our customer’s requirements for design pressure and temperature conditions, and the TransFlow® lined interior will provide trouble free operation with the fine cohesive powders handled.
For those occasions where on-site flowability testing of Young Industries TransFlow® hopper is preferred, we now have a small TransFlow® hopper available. This hopper is small enough to be shipped direct for testing at plant sites throughout the US.
We have now expanded our line of standard-stock pads to offer 4″ x 12″ TransFlow® pads. These pads have 80% more fluidization area than our smaller 3.75″ x 7″ pad.
