Testing

Test Lab

We maintain a 9,000 sq. ft. research and test lab area, including a 600 sq. ft. conference and training center. The lab is operated by a full-time staff that analyzes and provides solutions to customer problems in pneumatic conveying, mixing, blending, size reduction, and air pollution control.

Our facility is equipped with bench testing equipment that is used to evaluate customer’s materials and to provide data to the engineers for use in system design.

It also features a computerized data acquisition and control system that is used to control and monitor the pneumatic conveying systems. This system logs all the pressures and air volumes that are later used to evaluate performance.

The lab is complete with weighing equipment, feeding equipment, steam, compressed air, water, and electrical utilities. The test lab also has provisions for using nitrogen or inert gas as a conveying media. Please see below for a more complete list of our lab capabilities.

Factory Acceptance Testing

On-Site Testing

There are circumstances that sometimes require equipment to be tested On-Site at a customer’s facility. To make this testing easier Young Industries offers the following test equipment

20” diameter SilentFlow Hopper with 2” Stinger Conveyor and the option to use a 2” Stinger Screw Feeder. This equipment is mounted on a 5 ft. x 8 ft. trailer so it can be taken to the facility for testing.

8” diameter SilentFlow Hopper with 1.37” discharge. This hopper demonstrated our Transflow Technology and is set up to handle a wide range of powders. This unit weighs 20 lbs. and is easy to ship to destinations throughout the US for on-site testing.
